Dewalt generators

DEWALT has surged into the portable power market with two new electric Dewalt generators designed and built specifically for the contractor.

The 6,000-watt DEWALT DG6000 Heavy-Duty Gas Generator has Honda’s premium 11-horsepower OHV GX engine that delivers the performance necessary for a worksite. A special air intake, choke, and carburetion system allows for easy starting regardless of air temperature, while the super-quiet muffler and idle control reduce noise and help with fuel efficiency.

For increased durability, the Dewalt DG6000 portable generator has a brushless alternator that virtually eliminates any need for alternator maintenance. Output is rated at 5,000 watts continuous AC power and 6,000 watts max power for running worksites that use high-amp tools. In addition, the DG6000 provides up to 8,250 watts of surge capacity for starting larger tools such as air compressors.

In keeping with a standard to provide reliability for the professional user, DEWALT’s 4,300-watt DG4300 Heavy-Duty Gas Generator has Honda’s premium 8-horsepower OHV GX engine. This generator also has a brushless alternator for low maintenance and lasting dependability. The DG4300 produces 3,800 watts continuous and 4,300 watts max AC power, and up to 6,270 watts high-surge output.

The receptacle selection and control panel layouts on both units were designed with input from contractors who use generators daily. Each generator has four 120V GFCI receptacles. In addition, the DG4300 includes a twist-locking receptacle for 120V, and one for 120/240V. The DG6000 includes two 120V twist-locking receptacles, and another for 120/240V. Both units have a maximum 120V-power switch that’s located conveniently on the panel for channeling output only to the 120V receptacles.

DEWALT built these generators with a rugged 1-1/8" frame and reinforced stand to endure the abuse on a typical worksite. Horizontal bars in front of the panel protect the receptacles, breakers and switches. The metal 5-gallon gas tank is also protected and holds enough fuel for a full workday.

Both generators come with ergonomic handles, as well as a lift hook and a 10-inch semi-pneumatic tire kit for easy transport.
