DEWALT has introduced two heavy-duty, medium-crown air staplers
for residential construction applications. The new units,
the air staple gun D51430 1" -- 2"
x 7/16" 16 GA and pneumatic D51431 1" -- 2"
x 1/2" 16 GA medium-crown staplers, deliver the reliability
and durability users demand.
Whereas most manufacturers offer a single tool that accommodates
either a 7/16" or a 1/2" staple, DEWALT developed
two separate air powered tools to allow users to select the
one that best matches their fastener preference. Each stapler
weighs just 4.5 lbs. and is ergonomically balanced to improve
maneuverability and minimize user fatigue.
Extensive field testing coupled with a proven engine and
housing design from the air powered DEWALT finish nailer platform,
ensures a highly reliable tool that minimizes jams and skips.
Key features, such as a jam-clear spring that precludes premature
wear and an impact-resistant magazine that can withstand repeated
drops, enhance durability and reliability. In addition, a
carbide insert is embedded into the nose of each pneumatic
stapler to minimize wear and extend the life of the tool.
Air consumption and speed are directly related in high-speed
stapler applications. The DEWALT air medium-crown staplers
consume less air per shot for a more consistent flow of air,
which in turn produces a faster, more consistent tool that
increases user productivity. With a cycle rate of 20 fasteners
per second, they are up to 25% faster than other manufacturers'
offerings.
Designed for ease of use, the pneumatic air powered staplers
feature 360-degree exhaust to channel air and dust away from
users. A tool-free, indexed depth-adjustment feature, which
can be locked for repeatability, allows for quick selection
of the proper depth setting. This feature is located near
the trigger to provide a clean line of sight, which combined
with the tools' smaller nose piece, permits more precise fastener
placement. Tool-free jam clearance eliminates downtime resulting
from bent fasteners in the nose piece.
User comfort is further enhanced by tear-resistant rubber
grips. Both air staplers are supplied with safety glasses,
two allen wrenches and an instruction manual.
